September is a big, big activities month here at Replacements, Ltd.! Not only are we having our huge Yard Sale, we’re also honoring the 40th Anniversary of the premier publication for silver enthusiasts, Silver Magazine.

On Thursday, September 25, through Saturday, September 27, please join us here at Replacements, Ltd., the home offices for Silver Magazine. We’ll have all-day events with special Museum exhibits, tours of our silver and silver restoration facilities, panel discussions, hands-on activities, and a variety of educational programs, including how to distinguish between hand-made and machine-made silver, how to date silver, recent technological advances, care and repair, and much more. Information will be provided not only for new collectors and those just beginning to learn about silver, but also for the most discerning silver guru.

Presenters include Janet Drucker, D. Albert Soeffing, as well as a panel discussion group with silver expert Scott Martin and others. We will also feature a very special class by silver scholar D. Albert Soeffing. Considered to be one of the premier authorities on American silver, Mr. Soeffing has written a book on Victorian silver and published articles in a number of magazines, including Antiques. His exclusive presentation is usually offered only in Philadelphia and New York, so we are thrilled and honored to have him join us for these sessions. A gala reception will be held on Thursday evening.

The event will be divided into two sessions. The registration cost for Session I, which includes the Thursday reception and the educational program and panel discussion on Friday, is $60.00. The registration cost for Mr. Soeffing’s Session II educational program, which meets Friday evening and Saturday morning, and includes the Thursday reception, is $180.00. If you wish to attend all scheduled programs, your total registration cost for all sessions including the Thursday reception is $240.00.
